Got the two. Purple trim has a white base, while the blue trim has a painted base.

NOT official variants by manufacturer, but widely accepted by collectors there are 2 variations know as blue and purple trim, this refers to colour of the trim around the knickers, (In addition certainly in the case of the blue trim I own the underside of the bear is also unpainted (showing the white base material))
